Our beloved president, Sergio Camilleri, recently had the pleasure of representing Vespa Club Malta at two spectacular Vespa rallies in Sicily. These events, organized by Vespa Club Marsala and Vespa Club Ispica, showcased the rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty of the region.
The first rally, hosted by Vespa Club Marsala, was an unforgettable journey through some of Sicily’s most historic and picturesque locations. Participants rode through the charming towns of Salemi and Calatafimi, explored the ancient ruins of Segesta, and concluded the tour with a visit to the enchanting city of Erice. The rally culminated in a grand awards ceremony and dinner, where Vespa enthusiasts from various clubs celebrated their shared passion for these iconic scooters.
Following this, Sergio joined the Vespa Club Ispica for their rally, which began at Corso Umberto I, the historic site of the old market. Titled “Journey to the Origins,” this event took participants on an enlightening tour towards the Forza di Cava Ispica Park. The rally offered a mesmerizing baroque tour of the province of Ragusa, highlighting the architectural splendor and historical significance of the region.
Both rallies were a testament to the vibrant Vespa community and the enduring appeal of these classic scooters. Sergio’s participation not only strengthened the bonds between our club and our Sicilian counterparts but also brought back inspiring stories and experiences to share with our members.
